About Nadia Kevan
Nadia grew up in England where she trained to be a classical and contemporary dancer. She moved to Germany dancing with state theatre companies and later freelanced as a soloist. She trained to be an Alexander teacher with Karen Wentworth and Chris Stevens in Aalborg, Denmark, qualifying in 1987. From 1989 to 1998 she assisted then co-directed with Chris Stevens at their teacher training course in Hamburg and later Essen, where she became Professor of Movement Awareness at the Folkwang University of Arts, 1993. She introduced Body Awareness as a subject available to all students and staff. In 2000 she opened her own training course in Cologne at the Open Space Theater which she founded in the same year. In 2009 she initiated a 2 year further education program, "Dance of Life", (Alexander Technique, Dance and Spirituality). In the same year she moved with her husband, Ron Murdock, to Nijmegen in the Netherlands where they now run a new training course. Along with classical Alexander Technique, she teaches the Psycho-Physical Support System, Reiki and together with Ron, "Voice and Movement" and post graduate training programs.
