Teachers of the Alexander Technique are issued with certificates only after satisfactory completion of a three-year training course run by accredited teacher-trainers.

ATE-accredited directors of training schools must have a minimum of 14 years of continuous experience in private practice and have had substantial experience as assistant-trainers on approved training courses.
